Really good bread! The Greek salad is good too!

You know what I don't care about how slow their service is here. I would actually drive past OTHER SPIROS just to come here because this place feels legit. Nothing legitimizes a place like cold air leaks and wood benches built for people with waists from the 60s. I still stand by the fluffy pita gyros here. This is still my favorite place for it. Their bread is great too.

Really want to support this restaurant. Old school ethnic. Neighborhood standby. But the finish on the wood is sticky. Need to put tablecloths down everywhere, not just on some of the tables. The staff don't know the menu. And don't really know how to serve tables in a nice restaurant. The bread is excellent. Greek salad is very good. But the appetizer platter disappoints in portion size and does not compensate with quality. The lamb on the combo platter was small, greasy yet dry (seriously? ) and overcooked.

No, not good. The shiskabob was really baaad. Think meat boiled in vinegar. No salt or any other taste on the meat but tbe vinegar. Ordered the Giro as back up and even that was iffy, the Gyro meat was dry and the white sauce tasted odd. I will not be going back to this establishment.

If your on your way to or from the airport, it's easy access. Best lamb shank. Full bar. The service was attentive. Get the Greek dishes, the specials are American continental.

I grew up going to this place. Spiro is a great guy although I'm not sure if he's still there. Been few years since I last visited. The flaming cheese is to die for. I always order that. Saganaki is what it is called. Also ask for the mustard covered salmon. It's the best and it can be requested if it's not a special. It's not typically on the menu. Overall just a great relaxed atmosphere.

As I regular I forget to review but Spiros is my favorite. Food is always very Good. Owner is always there so the staff hops to it. Greek specialties are always good and the nightly specials are a great value. I recommend highly.

I drool every time I think of this place. I live in San Diego and would give my right thumb (yes, I am right handed) to have Spiro's in my hood. Smallish place in a "strip" of about 5 businesses. I don't know about the other "Spiro's" in the St. Louis area, but here works Spiro. I even make sure that my visits to my parents in Columbia are punctuated by a stop here before leaving. What do I love? Spiro! What do I love to eat? Flaming Saganaki. I wish I could order 3 portions for myself, a loaf of bread, a Greek salad and I'd be happy for weeks... But, I also love his Moussaka with the green beans (even though they are "canned" beans, they are just so good). That's it, that's is what I order... Probably a good thing there isn't a Spiro's in San Diego, because I don't think I'd ever leave! GOD LOVE SPIRO! (and the flaming Saganaki)...

I would give zero star if allowed. This location is terrible. My steak medallions tasted old & nasty. I sent it back after one bite. I would be embarrassed to try to charge someone for this quality of food. They should close this location as it gives their other ones a bad name. I will only eat at the chesterfield location for now on.

Like Allan C said, the gyros are awesome here. Just the right amount of food. Fresh tomatoes & onions. The pita was delish! I also agree with Allan C about the service being slow. But the food is delish & sooo worth the wait! Ambience was typical for a Greek place.

Good food. Small portions. Stoned staff. Eclectic menu. Good lamb (chops and gyro) Trout is good too. Flaming steak is a joke but most likely due to the fact that our waitress was tweaking at the time. Needs Gordon Ramsy. Has such potential. Food id good and fairly priced it's mainly portion size and staff. It's hard to get good help. Great option up north.

So this spot is not in the most nicest of neighborhoods but regardless, their gyros are to die for! I am so serious when I say this because their lamb literally just melts in your mouth. That is the one thing I always get when I come here and I would not have it any other way!

Good turkish coffee and the baklava is excellent. The fish, not so much
